Krosno, a city in Southern Poland, will host the most important balloon events in the world for two years.

The Balloon World Championships are a prestigious competition organized by the Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI) that attracts the best balloon pilots from around the world. Held every two years in different countries, they are the most important event in the balloon sports calendar.

The next, XXVI edition of the Championships will take place in Krosno on September 18-25, 2026. It will be the first event of this type in Poland, during which over 120 balloons from all over the world will appear in the Krosno sky.

As part of the preparations for this event, the World Pre-Championships will be held in Krosno in May 2025, which will be an excellent opportunity for crews to familiarize themselves with local conditions and for the public to experience a foretaste of the upcoming Championships.

The Balloon World Championships are not only a sporting competition, but also a spectacular show that attracts thousands of spectators, offering unforgettable experiences and promoting the beauty of air sports.
