In September 2026, the best balloon pilots from many countries will come to Krosno to compete in prestigious competitions organized under the patronage of the FAI.
The event will be more than just a sporting competition, but also a spectacular spectacle for residents and tourists alike. A special role will be played by the competitors participating in the so-called "fiesta" mode, who are primarily responsible for the event's showmanship and recreational nature.
The Fiesta mode in balloon competitions involves pilots who don't compete in the official sporting classification, but rather perform demonstration, presentation, and recreational flights. Thanks to them, the sky over Krosno will become incredibly colorful and attractive to the public. Fiesta pilots are a crucial part of the entire event, as their flights most often attract the attention of spectators, photographers, and the media. Organizers emphasize that the championships are intended not only as a sporting competition but also as a grand celebration of ballooning and the promotion of the Podkarpacie region.
The pilots registered for the fiesta mode include primarily Polish representatives, but also international guests. The official list of participants includes Kacper Pudło, Monika Zams, Kacper Borkowski, Mikołaj Gomółka, Kazimierz Dziełak, Jerzy Grzesiński, Wojciech Gałuszka, Jacek Legendziewicz, Adam Ginalski, Tomasz Sionkowski, Virginijus Remeika and Krzysztof Prync. Each of them has experience in balloon flights and has participated in numerous national and international ballooning events.
