The Krosno 2026 Balloon World Championship are fast approaching

These are the most important balloon competitions in the world, we have never had a competition of this rank in Poland before. Preparations have been going on since spring this year. We made numerous organizational activities that outlined the plan of our competition. We will see about 120 balloons in the sky.
From November 8 to November 10, 2024, we hosted the Sports Director of the 26th Balloon World Championship, Mr. Cloud Weber, who came to us from Luxembourg. Cloud Weber is one of the most respected organizers of high-ranking balloon competitions in the world, he is also a balloonist and a lecturer at universities in Luxembourg.
Our meeting was intended to present an outline of the event, secure infrastructure, examine the area for a joint launch of balloons, etc. We started the meeting by arriving at the airport and seeing the hangar as a place for daily briefings, determining the place for refueling gas, and planning the logistics of getting to the airport. We looked at the planned places of accommodation for a large group of people serving the World Cup and rooms for their work. Our guest, together with our balloon pilot, Witold Filus, took a balloon flight over Krosno to see our hilly areas from this perspective.
Claude Weber accepted the organizational plan of the Krosno 2026 Balloon World Championship presented by members of the Open Hearts Foundation. We have a lot of work ahead of us because both we and Cloud want it to be a competition at the highest, world level.
